from japan's damaged nuclear facilities continues to leak in to theo. we are seeing the first signs of radiation here in maryland. the health secretary said we have little to worry about though very small amounts have been detected in the air. anything found here likely came through clouds and storm systems. this comes 32 years to the day of the biggest scare in the united states history. 80 miles up a partial meltdown of the reactor at three mile island. it lead to an evacuation, investigation and massive overhaul. since the accident outside harrisburg, no new nuclear plants have been built in the united states. >> one of those days where we saw clouds early on and then the sun came out in force, problem is the air didn't warm up much. we stayed pretty chill yes. the radar, five sweeps slowing clear. that will continue to be the case we think. there will be a few snow showers, south of us earlier today, you see them here toward central havev. they are long gone now. frigid night. temperatures dropping quickly down through the 40s into the 30s and we will see widespread 20s at dayb
